Coco Jones has joined the Platinum party — RIAA-certified Platinum, that is.
Coco’s hit record “ICU” earned the R&B singer her first Platinum track, marking her first song to reach $1 million in sales or more.
She toasted to the milestone with a special dinner in Los Angeles, later sharing snapshots of the celebratory event to Instagram and expressing gratitude to those who helped her achieve the feat.
“ICU is officially platinum yall,” the singer wrote alongside the loudly crying face emoji. “Thank you to EVERYONE who made this possible and came to celebrate with me.”
A few months after its release in October 2022, “ICU” debuted on Billboard‘s Hot 100 and earned the singer her first #1 on its R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart.
The “ICU (Remix)” featuring Justin Timberlake was a dream fulfilled for Coco, who previously told Entertainment Tonight, “having his voice on it and that soul, that element he brings, it’s gonna be amazing.”
